From the 27th June until 2nd July Talanta Nairobi and the Kenyan Paralympians completed a 500km handcycle challenge from Nairobi to Mombasa.
This was to raise awareness and funds for the athletes as they train for the upcoming Paralympics in Rio, Brasil.
Here is a short video that shows the highlights of the week and some words from a few of the athletes themselves.
Talanta Nairobi Managed the logistics, as well as documenting the week long event.
It was a great pleasure and a proud achievement for all involved.
Our main sponsor was Renault Kenya who generously donated two Renault Dusters and a Kangoo van along with drivers for the week so that we had sufficient vehicles for carrying athletes and equipment.
We also would like to thank Pelican Signs for providing and fitting safety equipment for the riders and their handcycles. Finally, Baiskeli Adventures for their help in fundraising and also for joining us on the journey and providing support to the athletes.
